How long has McQueens school been established?
McQueens School opened its doors in 1997 and has attracted students from all walks of life and from across the globe.

Do I need any experience in floristry?
No - just a passion for flowers! The only possible exception would be for the week's advanced course, which is recommended for mainly previous students.

Do you have a set curriculum for your courses?
We have a programme we try to adhere to every day. We do prefer however to have some flexibility to enable us to include events such as weddings which may crop up during term time and provide invaluable experience for our students.

How many people do you accept on a course?
Normally up to 15/20 people. However, if a larger group shows interest we will split the group into two with separate teachers.

Do you provide a qualification at the end of your courses?
For all four, five and six vocational and career course students we supply a certificate stating that you have completed the course. Although not a formal qualification, this does carry a certain kudos with future employers.

After a four, five or six week course, are we likely to get a job?
All students of these courses are offered unpaid work experience at the end of the course. Many find this an invaluable in the search for floristry work.

How long does work experience last?
We put no time limit on work experience, but it does depend on how many students wish to take up the offer.

What is your cancellation policy?
Each circumstance is treated individually. We do not give refunds on monies paid, but will try to accommodate you on our next course.
