Mulberry In Bloom
April 2008
Mulberry has a long history of collaborations and for 2008 the brand is going to use the Bond Street store as a gallery hosting a series of emerging artists and designers. During the months of April and May Mulberry will collaborate with McQueen's, the award winning florist, to create an extraordinary installation.

Since opening in 1991 as a small flower shop, McQueen's has established itself as one of London's most exclusive florist. Founder Kally Ellis has driven McQueen's forward to make it one of the leading creative forces in contemporary floristry. With their flagship store on Old Street which now incorporates the internationally renowned McQueen's Florist School, McQueen's has built a flourishing business to become a favourite amongst professionals in fashion, media and entertainment industries throughout London.

Rebecca Law, McQueen's senior floral designer, took her inspiration from the Mulberry tree. Their interpretation of this form is going to be "in bloom" each week changing using colours from the Spring Summer 08 collection with a variety of English grown, seasonal flowers. The trunk and branches will be made with a combination of cork bark, moss and recycled containers. McQueen's will elaborate on the concept of fusing man-made with natural materials to give a more honest reflection of the world today.
